MY PROCESS: THE ARCHITECTURE OF PERMANENT BELONGING

Ela Hersberger and Larry collaborating on a commissioned family artwork, refining composition and lighting during the creative process.

Ela Hersberger, an Artist of Hope and Healing, guides families through a sequential practice for recognizing love and giving it permanent artistic form.

Most portraiture begins with a setup. My Process begins with surrender.

THE FRAMEWORK

My Process is a five-step architecture that moves from emotional recognition to structural permanence. It is not a photoshoot. It is a covenant of care.

1. SURRENDER

The first step is the release of control. I begin with faith, prayer, and listening. I let go of the need to manufacture perfection and instead become a vessel for what the family's story is asking to preserve. The Family Receives: Trust. The pressure to perform dissolves, replaced by the safety of being truly witnessed.

2. SEE

I look beyond appearance, posing, and status. I search for the emotional truth already present in your relationships—the gestures, the glances, the quiet moments that define your lineage. The Family Receives: Recognition. You are seen not for how you look, but for how you love.

3. HONOR

Every person is treated with extraordinary dignity and patience. I create a space where you can be yourselves without feeling extracted. There is no rushing. There is only reverence. The Family Receives: Belonging. The session becomes a shared experience of connection, not a transaction.

4. REVEAL

I use classical mastery in service of truth. Through light, composition, styling, and form, I translate what I have recognized into a visual language that words cannot express. This is where beauty is discovered, not created. The Family Receives: A truthful expression of your love. The artwork becomes a mirror of your family's soul.

5. HOLD

Life changes, but love deserves permanence. I give the revealed truth a physical, heirloom form that lives visibly within your home. This is the final anchor: art that holds what time takes. The Family Receives: Love made visible today and preserved for the future.

WHY THIS MATTERS

The dominant model of family imagery is built on speed. It captures a moment and hands you a digital folder. You are left with hundreds of files and zero presence. A screen asks you to scroll. A wall asks you to stop.

My Process rejects the disposable. It treats memory as lineage, not content. It ensures that every piece of art you bring into your home carries the weight of your history and the promise of your future.

FOR THE COLLECTOR

This work is for the family who values lineage over clutter. You are not looking for more images. You are looking for structural evidence that you belong to one another.

When you commission a piece through My Process, you are not buying a service. You are securing a permanent record of your love. You are ensuring that when time takes what it always takes, your family will still have proof: You are loved. You belong. You matter.

Read the Manifesto

Art does not create beauty. It discovers it, and gives it a place to stay.
